Impulsive picture produces 'miracle' shot

A TAVEUNI man claims a picture of the religious icon Mother Mary, the Mother of Jesus, that he took with his mobile phone at Solevu in Bua, produced a completely different picture.
Iosefo Matailima says the picture that came out was of Mother Mary carrying a baby.
Mr Matailima came to Solevu to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Catholic Church there.
During the celebration in Solevu at about 2pm, Mr Matailima left to drink yaqona.
On the way, he decided to take a photo of Mother Mary.
Mr Matailima said he was taken by surprise when the picture showed the icononic Mother Mary with a small child. "It is good news to me," Mr Matailima said.
Mr Matailima said when he saw the picture, he told some group of people to tell the chief guest at the function, the head of the Catholic Church in Fiji, His Grace Archbishop Petero Mataca.
The photo was passed around to more than 2000 people to see.
His Grace Archbishop Mataca reportedly sighted it as well but made no comment.
Mr Matailima admits he does not"usually pray or attend church gatherings".
Mr Matailima, who has daughters, said the photo told him his family would be blessed.
"Why me out of all the people out there?" he said.

Fiji Catholics of Today Blog Site Formation

The main reason for starting this Fiji Blog Site is to awaken all our Catholic Parents, Brothers and Sisters especially in Fiji and Rotuma as to what is going on in our living World and our association with the living God. He is not dead, he is alive in our daily walk and works of life. Being a cleaner on the street or being a member of Government, having not a cent in your pocket or a million in the bank, all are equal in the eyes of the Lord. Not forgetting the children and youths of today who would be our leaders of tomorrow.

He is always with us and we are to take a greater awareness of his presences. We are to acknowledge his presences and act accordingly as a Christian brother or sister.

Especially in this hard and trying times in Fiji. God tends to come closer when things get harder in life. We lay all our burdens and worries on our Lord Jesus and he will willingly carry it. A few simple words of pray of asking him and an acknowledgement that he has heard it would be fine. As we all know, "He is the most supreme being that made everything out of nothing and everything is possible to him".

Please take note my Brothers and Sisters that this Blog Site is under construction and is just the beginning for better things. I'm new to blogging and matters may not turn up as you want it. Lets join hands and start adding things that would benefit your Brothers and Sisters. If you have any thoughts that you would like to share and would help in any away, share it. We are all part of that one Living God that spoke the same language. I would also invite any of our Religious Brothers and Sisters if they could share any of their thoughts and work in this Blog Site.

Thank you and we hope that better things will come to your life via this Blog Site. Blogging is now a part of our day and age of sharing and we just have to harness it properly as a rider on a horse rides the country side.

Thank you. JMJ.
